You have now put me in the mood to make hamentaschen again this year! Yum I love love love them! I do have to say that I am somewhat partial to the traditional prune filling but looking at yours I want to try other fruit flavors and now nutella as well!

And HA HA food is certainly an integral part of Jewish life and every Jewish holiday.

I LOVE your blog Kerrin! It lights up my day every time … I’m typically traditional, but I have to say that I’m jealous of not being able to find and eat a Nutella Hamantashen. Sounds like a perfect combination, and really yummy …. I may just try your receipe then. Keep up the excellent work!

Great history lesson. I love looking at a food that I know a little about. It makes me feel nourished in mind and belly. Thanks. Believe it or not, at a small bakery in El Paso, they make these, but they just call them dulces (sweets).

Hi Kerrin,
I’m in Haifa, Israel today for Purim! And last night, we were just looking for hamantaschen!! Haven’t found any yet as we arrived late last night. I’m with a group of New Yorkers (bloggers) who are just wild on hamantaschen, though it’s my first time to hear about this food.

Can literally taste your hamantaschen!!!! The aromas that fill the house during the holiday season are so strong. All you have to do is mention baking during Purim and other Jewish holidays bring back so many wonderful memories. It is also filled with tradition!!!! Keep on baking….
